I still can’t believe this is real

I got to meet some of the authors who inspire me the most-and share my book with them!!! Meeting Jeff Kinney was such a full-circle moment. His books made me want to start writing my own stories, and getting to show him my self-published book meant everything to me. Thank you for inspiring me to keep writing and dreaming big!

I also got to ask a question about how to get a publishing deal and advice for young creatives and Mychal and Joanna Ho gave me the kindest, most thoughtful advice. Hearing them answer my question(and cheering me on)made me feel so encouraged and excited for what’s ahead.

Thank you Kaylani Juanita for being so kind and supportive- it meant so much to me. From holding my own book…to seeing these amazing authors and illustrator hold it too…to getting to learn from them in person-this is a day I will never forget. And thank you to Solano Library for putting on this amazing event.
I’m going to keep writing. One day I hope to inspire other kids the same way they inspire me.
